Bangkok

Food

• Mama Mia | Street restaurant with local tastes, right outside a food market, a little bit touristy but good food. Also you can walk around a little bit in the area | 🗺️

• Jeng Noodle Thai Food & Vegetarian | Fantastic family owned local food restaurant, we stumbled upon it while walking and it was great, if you are around the area, pretty cool place | 🗺️

• Khao San Road | Area with many shops and restaurants etc. you can walk around and it felt like it has a local vibe, I think this is around a university area, so it had many young poeple as well | 🗺️

Drink

• BKK Social Club | Fantastic cocktail bar, rated in top-5 of Asia or something like that, inside the Four Seasons Hotel, to get there you can get the ferry to drop you off nearby and walk a little bit, there are these abandoned skyscrapers that look eerie, we did that early evening, so not sure how it is at night | 🗺️

• Ba hao 八號 | Great cocktail bar in Chinatown, really urban environment, you can walk afterwards to the Chinatown center where there are many street restaurants, we didn’t eat there but just going for a walk is a vibe | 🗺️

• Tichuca Rooftop Bar | Fancy skyscraper rooftop bar, nice view of the city | 🗺️

• TRIBE Sky Beach Club | Another fancy bar in a high rise building, around the go-go bars, massage parlors area, if you need a break of all the sexiness | 🗺️

Sightseeing

• The Grand Palace | The king’s palace, they need you to wear long trousers, the only place that requires this, you can get some trousers from the sellers on the street though. Make sure you have some water with you, it requires some walking around. | 🗺️

• Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan | The big Buddha temple | 🗺️

• Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan | Right across the other temples, you can get there by the ferry, the most beautiful in my opinion | 🗺️

• Lumphini Park | Lizards! and a park, really nice park for a walk | 🗺️

• Bangkok Art and Culture Centre | Really nice free gallery to go for a walk, busy streets nearby, at the gallery shop I found the stickers from 🐈 Chonky.goods | 🗺️

• Soi Cowboy | Red light district vibe, fun to walk through it once | 🗺️

• ICONSIAM and centralwOrld | Huge malls if you are into it | 🗺️ and 🗺️

General Info

• SuperRich | Exchange office with good rate | 🗺️

• Grab | Uber equivalent | 🚕 Grab

• The old buses are fun to use at some point, you can get a ticket inside

• There are 7/11 convenience stores everywhere so you can get anything you want from there, try the original red bull!!

• Have a hat with you! It is hot!

• You can bargain anything, taxis, food stands, souvenirs, clothes, massage…

Koh Samui

Misc

• Lipa Noi Beach | Postcard beach, a little secluded area, so plan a little bit beforehand with your transportation there | 🗺️

• Chaweng Night Market | If you feel like trying your luck with street food, try sweet mango rice somewhere | 🗺️

• Coco Tam’s | Nice beach and beach bar, near a road with a lot of shops | 🗺️

• Elephant Beach Club | All of the bars, clubs nearby, they do fire shows at the beach at night, it’s pretty fun to watch, so worth a drink around here | 🗺️

General Info

• There are these red pickup trucks that run around the island, you just signal them and you pay a flat fee and go to the direction you want, you let them know when you like to get off, there is a signal button inside the cab, so something like a small bus

• Look out for the bottles that they sell at random shops, it is gasoline!

Chiang Mai

Misc

• Wat Phra That Doi Suthep | A temple complex overlooking the entire city, you can get there with the pickup truck taxis, there is an elevator to get to the top or stairs | 🗺️

• Wat Chedi Luang | The oldest temple around, worth a visit, you can get coconut ice cream on the street vendors outside very cheap | 🗺️

• Rachadamnoen Rd Thai Massage Places | On this street you can find many spa places where you can get traditional Thai massage (not the one you are thinking about), GET ONE, they will break you but it is the best thing, you will get some bruises but you will feel amazing and it’s pretty cheap | 🗺️

• Dash | Amazing food, try the Khao Soi, it is a northern Thai specialty and it was fantastic | 🗺️
